Shipping Details

We offer free shipping to orders over $75 being sent within the continental United States.

What are your normal shipping and handling charges?

We only ship by priority mail with a tracking number (or Global Priority if you are not in the US) because other methods are slower and less reliable. Our minimum charge is $5.50. Batting is slightly higher.

For those using Global Priority, our minimum charge is $12.00. If you are in Canada, choose the priority mail option. We can't send priority mail to Canada, but the postage amount is about right for airmail and it will save you the cost of the more expensive Global Priority shipping.

What is the pattern shipping option?

Patterns (and other small, flat items) are the exception to the rule. Those we just put in an envelope and mail, so we only charge a $3.00 shipping and handling charge, if you are in the United States. First Class package mail tends to be a bit slow, so if you are in a hurry for the pattern, choose Priority. If you are in Canada, we will ship patterns by air mail but the delivery charge increases to $4.75. If you are overseas (military address excluded), the delivery charge is $8.00. We ship free to military addresses.

I am a member of the military - how can I get free shipping?

As long as you are using a military address, we will not charge you shipping. Now, our shopping cart *WILL* charge you shipping as it doesn't recognize these addresses, but don't worry. We will fix it at this end. Just to be safe, you might want to mention the fact you are military in the "special comments" section.

What if choose the wrong method?

Our shopping cart figures shipping based on the amount of the purchase and the shipping option you chose. If something seems odd, send us an E-mail or give us a call toll free at 1-888-817-6577. If you accidentally charge yourself the wrong amount (for example, using the Patterns option for fabric), we will amend it at this end.

How long will it take me to receive my order?

We pride ourselves on shipping same day or next day, provided those are normal business days. This doesn't always happen! We really work hard to keep stock at hand at all times but if your item is out of stock we may hold your order for a day or two until new items arrive. If we aren't sure, we may ship your order with a notation that other items are backordered. The picture below shows approximate delivery times. Please don't count on this as being exact, particularly during the holiday season. If you have been waiting more than two weeks for your order, please let us know.
